Walking Through Ashes was inspired by the death of my parents and the fire that erased nearly all material evidence of their life’s goals. Walking through the remains of their hard work, while altering my own understanding of legacy and values. This is a peaceful memorial and a reminder the legacy is not material.

Why Coyote Why is an instrumental Post-Rock band out of Boston Massachusetts. This percussion centric trio started playing together at a local church in Wilmington MA 7+ years ago. Greg Rutledge (Electric Guitar), Josh Jacob (Drums) and Erik Larson (Drums) have gotten together to create a flood of sound and atmosphere.
Why Coyote Why draws influence from groups like This Will Destroy You and Caspian as one might expect. However it all started with a mutual love of music from movies like Interstellar and Little Miss Sunshine.
The music of Why Coyote Why urges the listener to bring their own experience and context to each song. Experiences come to mind and become associated with progressions and meter. Music is a healer and will continue to surprise you in the ways it will find us out.
Why Coyote’s latest project is a series of singles released each month. Each one inspired by memory from Greg’s childhood home. Once complete this work will create a memorial to a time and place that has long since been paved over by progress but continues to inspire.
